Behind the Words

Growing up, I was always able to express myself most through the written word and I've always found myself with my nose in a book. I’m fortunate that I was able to translate these interests into an academic and blossoming professional career as a writer and editor. I always strive to learn and develop my literary style and voice, approaching every challenge I come across as an experience to grow and develop as a person and a writer. That’s why, in addition to working on projects similar to those I have already completed, I also seek out new types of endeavors I have yet to encounter.

A Comparative Study of Women's Aggression

May 2018

My master's thesis and the work I'm most proud of. In this project, I examined current representations by analyzing the films Wonder Woman, Ghost in the Shell, and Atomic Blonde and discussing how women's aggression is evolving and it can be understood in the current political climate.

August - December 2017

Part of my technical writing certification, I created a comprehensive user manual for the McDonald's training program - "Fred." This work clearly demonstrates my ability to write and format a comprehensive technical piece.
